http://www.grist.org/ is an informational webpage that is mainly concerned with informing poeple about news relating to The Environment and what is being done to protect it. Also what problems are currently taking place and how they need to be changed. The Web page also is humourous. News plus humor seems to be doing well lately. With the way the environmental issues are being addressed one cant help but think it is all comical. Its better then thinking it is just sad witch is probobly a more human reaction. But people deal wiht stress in different ways. That is the point that the webpage tries to get across.
That these issues need to be talked about. Attention should be raised in any way possible. For some poeple hearing scary facts about the end of the end of the world and how we are responsible. Thiks webpage gives you a nice mix of real news and comical stories that really shoulndt be somthing to laugh about.
I feel that it is an effective way to raise points about what needs to be done. As long as poeple are intrigued enough to read somthing about the environment and learn somthing about what isnt being done or what could be done, Thats always good.
Issues need to be addressed. The more people aware the better. In the long run for significant changes to be made i feel enough people need to voice their opinoun. The government officials are the ones who can inevitable make the changes that could save us all. We just need to make it clear that we all really really want to be saved from ourselves. And that it is profitable for a candidate to be on the side of mother earth for many reasons.

After reading through my current blogs the word that i noticed myself using very frequently was I.

Very boring writing i thought when i looked back over it.
I cant seem to help it either.
SHould i switch up to third person fro my blog.
That would be kind of bad ass but also very wierd.
To me it would seem weird if somobody was writing their blog in the third person or somthing like that.
If you did i also think that is a bad ass idea i just am not sure if i coudl pull it off.
So i think ill keep saying I
I dont use the computer to write things down often as iv mentioned i never blogged before this class. Facebook i dont write much and the word I doesnt come up often. JUst small comments and things liek that.
I suppose it would be easy to take the I out of my writing. Im told its a bad habbit.

My blog is a very selfish one. why do i only write about myself.
I do have some freinds and stories unrelated to myself.
Maybe ill give it a try in the future.
By the way i do realize i said I about 100 times in this but since i was talking about how often i do it i figured I might as well keep it up for this entry.
I said I seven times in that last sentence hahah.
I suppose it will improve my writing in the future now that i realize I have a problem with saying I .hahah sorry i cant help it. I think that was the point of this assignment.

Look for improvements and intereesting stories in the future that have nothing to do wiht myself.

AFter reading the story THE ROAD TO RAINY MOUNTAIN i felt bad for the Kiowas. The story was true and one that should not be forgotten no matter how much Americans want to pretend theri counrty was founded on just morals.

how does momaday create mood in the essay ?

The author Momaday creates a somber mood throughout the story especially at the end. The story to me was relating the loss of his grandmothrs life to the loss of everythign the Kiowas once had. Momaday tells of the proud people and where they came from but right from the beginning the reader knows where the story will end up. We know his grandmother is dieing and we know he is their to morn her. Momaday also makes the mood a somber one in my opinoun by talkning about his grandmothers past. He doesnt tell of her gorwing up like so many children only get to use their imaginations to expierence. He doesnt tell about the good associated with the tribe and all she gained from being a Kiowa. Anytime he does mention things having to do with her and the tribe it is somber. Like when he tells of her being at the last dance for the sun. And how his grandmother witnessed the end of her culture and he witnessed the end of her life. When she died the Kiowas seemed to die again. The title really showed this point to me aswell. THE ROAD TO RAINY MOUNTAIN. its nto a happy tittle and i think it tries to get his theme that the KIowas journey was long and the result was not the best.

Its sunday and im trying to be productive. Im at the library with a bunch of books. my buddy Conor and me are getten some things done. Getten ready for another week. I really should do this more often. im still not sure what i want to pick as my major. I also havent been giving it much thought. im going to have to meet with my academic advisor or somthen like that.

Anyway this weekend was pretty fun i went to two different birthday parties. One on friday.
The house was huge but most rooms were closed it was really about 2 rooms that the party took place in and out back. The party was packed and i didnt recognize anyone. I went with some friends btu i didnt spend much time with them. i couldnt even find them. i didnt really enjoy myself. i was looking around for poeple i know or had talked to before and couldnt find anyone. Their were a lot of pretty girls but i brought somone with me. she didnt stick around usually doesnt. i think i didnt have a good time because it was a fraternity house. i just fealt a little unwelcome. its hard to feel welcomed when u dont recognize anyone. Some of the guys i talked to were nice to me others not really. I dont really respect the idea of the frat.
i thought it was about just going to school and makeing friends. or like a family were everyone has your back. If your in that shows you your welcomed, they like you. that doesnt sound that bad but i heard about a kid who got jumped their. He was in the frat and the other people were not. I guess the other frat members dont hold theri brothers with high value to let that happen. That makes me think the frat guys just let poeple in the frat every year to b able to bitch them around the entire pledge semester. after they had it done to them they want to get some revenge. They probly dont even like half the poeple their in the frat with.

the next day i went to a birthday party once again i didnt knwo the guy but i knew his friends. It was a smaller party and i had a much better time. i knew people and i met people. i brought a girl and she left with out me hahah good stuff.
that nihgt was good the hole weekend was okay.
bought time to get some of this work started so i can leave this library. Peace

My schedule is pretty easy on Tuesdays and Thursday. I only have one class much later in the day
Monday and Wednesday are the worst. i have a very full scedule those days. Five classes on Wednesday and they arent spaced out all that great but im done by about 6 and its nto that bad.
I think its safe to say everyone hates Monday.
Unless ur some sort of sick freak no offense to all the Monday fans.

so besides Those two days my week is pretty relaxed just a few hours needed to get some work done.
You would be surprised to see how often that doesnt happen.
I have almost nohting to do tuesday and thursday but i manage to find a lot of things to keep me busy besides actual school work.

iv been pretty boring since i got bakc to school just layen low plannen my next move i guess haha

A little bit of Lacrosse hear and their but i havent managed to make a practice this semester i think they have only had one so far.

When its a little warmer im gonna start hitten up the beach a lot more
i just mess around and waste time with Ace or dani Usually both thast what a typical day is.

I have one more class today. Wednesday is the worst for me i have 5 classes but the rest of the week isnt that bad.
Iv already managed to lose my planner. I use it to stay organized. I like to take it to all my classes and write down the homework or anythign else i want to remember. I had a nice system goin that i thougth would allow me to easily stay on top of things this semester and not forget about my obligations. But its gone

ill just have to use my sylabus all the time until i get a knew one. I could go get one rihgt now

i hope my next class is cancelled. Geology lab earlier and now i have to go to the lecture at 5. Not motz!!

My town is a lot of fun i think almost anyone who went their would like it.
theris plenty to do. Its even closer to the beach then WIlmington. Its very similar to Wrightsville
but bigger and much more populated.

I dont really know what to say umm i watched dark night last night that movie is ill. Iv seen it a few times now.

bloggen isnt really my thing. i never look at other peoples and i have never had my own. Maybe it will prove to be more fun then i would think it could be.

Iv been trying to find some interesting things to read about and i was getting pretty frustrated. Ill probobly get better at navigating through the web but for now all i seem to do is run across a bunch of blogs that dont make me want to read um at all.

This guy apparently is a big time blogger i read some short thing about how hes pissed off about having to deal with the Phone company and how that gave him the run around to get somthing fixed. He was off to do important things other then spending the day blogging but under his text was bullets to other blogs that he said dont suck.

I clicked one and sure enough it was just some ladie who posted pictures of her baby. The baby was cute but i was dissapointed. I thought id b looking at more up to date news stories that they cant show you on the news. i guess my idea of blogging was pretty vauge. It can be used to serve many purposes. Some people like to talk about their day to anyone who cares.

I dont have much to talk about so i cant be too short with people who arent addressign the big issues. In fact im not planning on addressign any issues myself.

so today i woke up and went to English. I was tired because it was early in the morning 8 AM
my monday schedule is pretty full but i have tuesdays almost empty. Lets go
i Got some food in between two of my classes and was just wasting time till the next. German literaure

The class was cancelled so i went and slept till about 20 minites ago. felt good my bed is real comf. hahah idk wich is better my bed at home or hear. The bed hear has more blankets but its smaller then my other one. PLus i deboed some mattress pads and they keep the bed feelen nice.

i ate eggs and sausage and tatortots with a grilled cheese so far today
